HELEN MULLEN - ASSOCIATE
Helen has been involved in innovation and technology transfer since
1990, working within a variety of sectors on economic and company
development initiatives to stimulate innovation and growth.
Prior to
her current role, Helen worked as a principal consultant within various
professional service organisations including a Patent Agency and
Technology Transfer consultancy where she worked with the private
sector on company development issues such as Intellectual Property
Management and Marketing, as well as economic development organisations
on technology transfer and sector development issues. Latterly, Helen
worked with a management consultancy company specialising in the
Creative and Digital Industries, where she led on innovation related
activities and business development.
Helen has worked with a range of
public sector organisations to support company and sector development
and inform policy, to stimulate and support commercialisation
activities in the private sector, to raise awareness about innovation
for a range of professional and academic organisations. Clients have
included The European Commission, Scottish Enterprise, the National
Endowment for Science Technology and the Arts (NESTA), the North West
Development Agency, Mersey TV, AVC Media Enterprises, Monogram Wark
Clements, the National Space Centre and the International Centre for
Digital Content.
Helen has a BA Honours Degree in Marketing (First
Class) from the University of Strathclyde and is currently undertaking
a Masters degree in Research Methodology in Business and Management.
She is a Member of the FOCI network (Forum on Creative Industries) and
was previously a Steering Group Member of Culture Finance North West
and a Mentor with the National Endowment for Science, Technology and
the Arts.
